My good buddy Wes, owner of http://www.motorangutan.com/ gave me a fantastic bargain on these Gaerne Adventure boots! I often wear MX boots for my dual sport riding on my XR650r, but with my new 2014 Suzuki V Strom 650, I anticipate a lot more road riding. For more road riding with some graded gravel thrown in, I wanted a kick that was between a street and MX.....then these Gaerne's fit the bill! The are full leather with a waterproof, breathable membrane in side. The sole is dainty and strong and supportive. The boots fit me well, I wear a 10 and these are just right. Me too. Fantabulous boots with high condolement factor besides. I have a model close to yours, as shown beneath (both Euro models). Same thing for me - Street/DS and occasional crf 450x use as well. Even made in Italia too (not farmed to China for the build). Pretty much the same kick, just mine may have been more than of a pant over boot pattern. I unremarkably buy xi quad eastward in a hiker, these boots feel the same, size 46, take room for thick socks. I am knitting the socks now!

I would suggest the post-obit: - anything from Klim, they brand peak notch DS gear - take chances boots - ADV specific jackets, 3/4 length in hi-viz - ADV specific pants - Frogg Togg pelting gear - dorsum packs with hydration - goggles (standard and over-the-glasses) - micro fiber riding shorts (apartment seams, breathable, with or without chamios) - sheep skin seat pad - Wolfman baggage - Giant Loop luggage - OBR ADV gear: http://ridedualsport.com/forum/index.php?topic=4353.0 They are a smaller visitor that makes some slap-up looking gear, and maybe they would be interested in some additional exposure. On Black Friday I stopped into Motorangutan and tried on the new MSR Chance jacket! I got on ane on social club! I was very impressed with the quality of structure, features and fit. I program to wear a fleece under it for warmth, and afterward get an electric jacket which will fit. The sizing is a bit on the larger side to allow for a practiced underlayer. I have put on weight and am border line Thou or L sizing. I ordered a Med. size, which nevertheless allows room for fleece or electrical gear. I think a big would accept been likewise baggy, the Med gives a bit more than snug fit with a fleece or electric liner so it wont flap around. The arm chinches are subconscious and permit yous to snug up the fit. The cut is very prissy, with a depression back and pre-curved arms. Its water proof with big waterproof zippers and venting system. No demand to haul around Frog Togg uppers. The armour is subtantial, gives great coverage, and is in the right location. I'grand planning to utilize this as my fall weather and full on cold weather touring jacket, with electric undergarmet. This will replace the Tourmaster I plumb wore out after five years. I will utilize my Tourmaster Flex pants with the jacket, and have the zippers continued up. The armor is pretty substantial and gives good coverage, even so comfortable. I am sure there is room for a pressure adapt without the armor.
But, this armor seems very substantial and in the right identify. It will exist dandy for DS riding and not have to muck virtually with elbow pads.
The jacket too has some chest padding incase you take a hit on the bars/windshield.

And so, Wes at Motorangutan gave me a fantastic deal on the new MSR Explorer serial Alterra jacket!
Wearing this home I immediately noticed the following, and I am very pleased with this long distance, absurd to freezing cold jacket!
- The quality of the materials is first-class, its a cut above many lower priced jackets and feels very long lasting and durable
- The collar is very comfortable, snug, and is lined. The trivial tab for property the neckband open is excellent!
